Junghans Olympic Bullhead Chronograph

German watches are being talked about more and more recently, thanks to huge success from brands like A. Lange & Söhne and Nomos Glashutte. While still overlooked when it comes to the more storied Swiss producers, the Germans manufacture some of the best watches in the world.

Junghans, a German company perhaps better known for their bauhaus and aviation-inspired wristwatch designs and mantle clocks, has been in business producing such instruments since 1861. In 1903, Junghans had the largest watch and clock factory in the world. 

This particular Junghans is a rather unique chronograph, a 'Bullhead' so-named for its rotated movement that places the pushers for the chronograph controls on the top of the case rather than the side as traditional. Though uncommon, this is actually is a rather ergonomic place for the chronograph functions to sit. 

This particular Bullhead, dating to 1972, is part of the Olympics branded collection presented by the brand to commemorate their role as official timekeeper of the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics. Truly a standout model, for lovers of 70s chronographs, this is a really cool German value to check out!

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
