The fellas are back at Analog:Shift HQ and this time they tackle a question that has been asked since collecting vintage watches became as popular as it is today — does box & papers matter?
It’s an interesting topic considering the amount of clients and collectors that lead with that inquiry. Thomas, Josh and Sam provide their opinions and attempt to see both sides of seeking out the additional factory ephemera, or foregoing it all together.
They raise some interesting points in regard to collector arch, presentation, storage and how box and papers play a role in the watch’s market value. So we leave the question to you … does having the extra goodies actually matter?
