Details

Sure, Analog:Shift is a business built around the love of watches — mostly mechanical watches.

But, in essence, it’s our love for timepieces and timekeeping in general that are the common themes throughout the items we procure. And that includes the love of clocks in general — pocket watches, travel clocks and more.

After all, in the couple hundred years before the First World War, personal timekeeping was all about the pocket watch, and before that, it was larger clocks that were front and center, horologically. We still believe a good clock — especially one that hails from the best design maison — deserves a place in any watch lover’s collection.

This particular piece, a pocket watch from none other than Vacheron Constantin, encapsulates everything we love about the horological hobby: Housed in a 44mm stainless steel open-face case with an unsigned crown, a smooth crystal, and an acrylic crystal, it features a handsome silvered sector dial with an outer 'railroad' minute track, black Arabic and 'dash' indices, a large subsidiary seconds register above 12 o'clock, and a blued steel 'sword' handset.

Powered by a hand-wound Vacheron Constantin movement and paired to a stainless steel watch fob, this gorgeous 1930s pocket watch can do double duty as a desk clock — or accompany you in your pocket for the full early 20th-century experience. Either way, you won't be disappointed by this magnificent piece of time-telling history.
