Rolex Submariner

Finding high quality vintage Submariners is becoming increasingly difficult.  The market is flooded with poor examples, often suffering from excessive wear or over-polishing, or worse: "over-restored" examples presented as all-original.

Given the popularity of the iconic diver in the past five years or so, it is no surprise that many of the cleanest all-original examples have already been snatched up by eager collectors, and prying them out of their hands is often an impossible task...

After all, these watches are numero uno on many enthusiast's grail list for good reason.

The first Rolex Submariner was launched in 1954 and has been in continuous production ever since, making it one of the longest running models of any timepiece made. With indisputably stunning looks that match virtually any situation, the Submariner presents itself to a tremendously broad market. Of course, most people would queue up to buy a new one…but you know better, which is why you’re here.

What you are looking at is an excellent example of the Reference 14060 hailing from the early 1990s.  This sub features a sapphire crystal, gorgeous glossy dial.  The Tritium dial and handset has developed an absolutely remarkable creamy patina, and the Oyster case is in excellent condition showing no signs of over polishing.  All concerned, this piece is a wonderful option for a daily wearer, sporting all the iconic looks of the Submariner in an package that begs to take on some patina.
