Why We Love it
–Now here’s something special.
Patek Philippe is of course known for its dress watches — the splendid Calatrava that debuted in 1932 and continues to anchor the celebrated watchmaker’s catalog today. However, there are other dress watches within the Patek lineup that deserve recognition.
Take this striking Reference 3625/1G, from circa the 1970 for example...
Constructed out of solid 18k white gold with a matching woven bracelet, this 32mm x 30mm 'TV' case piece features a sapphire crystal, a pave-diamond dial with a deep black Onyx stone center, a white gold 'dauphine' handset, and an absolutely gorgeous, baguette diamond-set bezel framing it all up. Inside, Patek Philippe's Calibre 16-250 movement is manually wound via a signed, shrouded crown.
This is more than a timepiece — it’s a museum piece, an extraordinary work of horological art, and there is no saying when one of these will show up again!
In outstanding condition throughout, this rare “gem” of a Patek isn’t the type of dress watch that comes across our desks every day, and theres no saying if and when another will again!
