Heuer Stopwatch 'Fisher'

Sure, Analog:Shift is a business built around the love of watches — mostly mechanical watches. But, in essence, it’s our love for timepieces and timekeeping in general that are the common themes throughout the items we procure. And that includes the love of clocks: pocket watches, travel clocks, and more.

After all, in the couple hundred years before the First World War, personal timekeeping was all about the pocket watch, and before that, it was larger clocks that were front and center, horologically. We still believe a good clock — such as a classic travel model from the 1920s or 1930s — has a place in the watch lover’s collection.

This particular timepiece is a vintage Heuer stopwatch ref. 14-646 from the mid-20th century. Retailed by Fisher Scientific — a laboratory supply and biotech company founded in 1902 — it features a TKmm stainless steel case with a black rubber bumper around its circumference and caseback; an acrylic crystal; and a prominent ridged crown and start/stop/reset pusher at 12 o'clock. Its dial, simple and highly legible, is a picture of midcentury utility: A white background is punctuated by an outer 1/5th-seconds track in red and black, while black 'Arabic' 5-minute indices and a 30-minute totalizer below 6 o'clock make for easy timekeeping. 

Double-signed both 'Heuer' as well as 'Fisher,' this neat stopwatch is equipped with its correct caseback sticker and even comes with its outer box. Whether as a gift for a watch-loving friend or as a piece of desk adornment for yourself, there could scarcely be a cooler horologically-themed gift at this price point. We're sure you'll agree!

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
