Elgin USMC

Take a look at vintage black and white photographs from the World War, and you might spot some interesting wristwear. The US military has historically been issued some of the coolest in timekeepers and field watches.

Which is why we’re so excited to bring you this particular timepiece: Made by Elgin Watch Company, it’s housed in a 30mm plated case with ‘holey’ lugs, an acrylic crystal, an oversize crown, and a beautiful profiled bezel. It features a cream dial stained by radium burn, a reminder of the incredible history underpinning the piece.

Flip the watch over and it’s still possible to make out the incredible USMC marine corps designation that sets this watch apart from other incredible field watches. USMC watches are not common to find in general, and the combination of the Marine provenance with the age and Elgin branding makes this piece one of the best and rarest in the world of military timekeepers. 

This beauty is powered by an exceptional Caliber 532 manually wound movement, and features a dust cover to protect the integrity of the movement when in the trenches.

Though it may be small by any contemporary measure, throw this little guy on with jeans and a t-shirt — maybe save the vintage military uniforms for the re-enactors! — and you’ll absolutely be the coolest guy at the party.

All of our watches include complementary insured shipping within the 50 states.

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
