If you have explored this hobby long enough to find yourself here, browsing our website, chances are you have come across his name. 

Perhaps the only watch designer known by name to more than a handful of horological scholars, Gerald Genta's most groundbreaking and iconic designs need no introduction...

We feel, however, that some of more overlooked watches from his portfolio do. While watch folk know that Genta completed iconic design work for powerhouses like Universal Geneve, Omega, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, and Cartier - he went on to release numerous high design models under a brand mark bearing his own name.

This Night & Day model in one such watch. Dating to the early 2000s, it perfectly characterizes an almost intangible Genta flavor - something that you can't quite explain, yet is instantly recognizable as the work of a very specific master designer.

This example features a 38mm steel case with coin edge detailing and a luminous black dial, matching sword handset, a magnified date window, and a night-day complication operated by a pusher on the left side of the case. When pushed, the night-day phase rotates in unison with the secondary red hour hand, allowing the user to keep track of multiple timezones. It also comes fitted to a unique multi-link steel bracelet with a hidden butterfly clasp, typical of Genta designs.

It's not often that we come across a funky, colorful modern watch that is equal parts brilliant as confounding at Analog:Shift HQ, let alone one with a very cool complication and provenance built into its name. This watch checks all the boxes for an interesting, off the beaten path watch and all at an accessible price point!

All of our watches include complementary insured shipping within the 50 states.

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
