–Why We Love It
Crafted from 14k yellow gold, this stunning 1950s LeCoultre resonates with us on so many levels.
From its satin silver dial with applied Arabic quadrant indices, subsidiary seconds indictor, and gold dauphine hands to its beautiful skeletonized lugs and polished bezel ring - we've never seen another quite like it, and that is really saying something.
Internally, the watch is powered by the Calibre 480CW manually-winding movement, which also found itself utilized in a variety of other period pieces, including military style officer's timepieces and the highly-stylized 'Mystery Dial' cocktail watches popular at the time.
Manufactured for export after the Second World War, this particular watch was cased and timed in the USA, skirting importation duties by coming across the Atlantic as parts for assembly instead of as a finished product.
Recently scavenged from the vaults of a local collector, we are as excited to offer this beautiful LeCoultre as you will be the first time you strap it on!
