–ONLY THOSE WHO DARE
The Ferrari 308 GTB was, and still is, radical in every sense of the word.
To the delight of many, Ferrari went back to its design roots when it came to replacing the Dino 246 GT. The result was the 308 GTB bursting onto the scene in 1975. Serving as the brainchild of automobile design virtuoso Leonardo Fiorvanti, the 308 GTB displayed obvious nods to the 246 with its curving wing-tops and sculpted air intakes, but also incorporated the clean-lines of the Berlinetta Boxer.
Happily, when it came to the 246’s replacement, Ferrari went back to its preferred styling house. The result, revealed in 1975, was the 308 GTB. Designed by the masterful Leonardo Fioravanti, with obvious nods to the 246 in the curving wing-tops and sculpted air intakes, but also a clear relationship to Fioravanti’s clean-lined and then-recently launched Berlinetta Boxer. Simultaneously nostalgic and achingly modern, the 308 GTB set the tone for the next wave of prancing horses from the Italian Scuderia.
Like the vehicle itself, this 308 GTB ad is simple, yet edgy. A blurred dark foreground and overcast skies taking place in the background frame the a 308 GTB in the iconic Rosso Corsa red. Above, a quote reads, “Only those who dare .. truly live.” — encapsulating the 308’s bold design and the fearlessness one must have to push every bit of its 3 litre V8.
This particular ad, procured and presented by Ad Patina, is custom framed in a 13 1/2” X 15 3/4” made of solid wood with black painted finish. It features a custom-measured, hand-cut 4-ply border in a shade of white, complimenting all the ad tones. Every material used is acid-free and the glass is anti-reflective and offers UV-protection to keep this precious ad preserved no matter where you decide to hang it up. Speaking of which, hanging your newly purchased ad is a seamless task, as this particular frame comes with an additional hanging wire and felt pads for wall protection.
Whether it's taking up wall space in the living room or placed on an office bookshelf, this Ferrari 308 GTB ad is ready and willing to make any locale look cool. The question is, “Are you willing to dare?”
