Dating to the 1940s, this Mido is a classic callback to a bygone era of the watch industry with more modest case sizes, bumper automatic movements, and a robust charm. Measuring 34mm in stainless steel, this beautiful "Roulette" Pointer Date has curb appeal to extend down the block. Its lightly patinaed dial has aged to a creamy beauty, and the Roulette outer pointer date provides some needed contrast to spice up the reserved design.

The squiggly pointer date layout is a bit bold and helps this piece really pop. To tie everything together, the handset is blackened to match the date frame in a lovely, coherent consistency. Well done.

We admit it, we do tend to get carried away pontificating about vintage watches. With roots stretching back to 1918, the name Mido is a play on the Spanish phrase Yo mido - I measure.

The brand designed a host of interesting designs throughout the mid-20th Century, and even has some pretty impressive innovations in the industry, including anti-magnetic automatic wristwatches (the Mulitfort Collection) and monocoque case construction.

They even used a robot as their mascot... in 1939.

We back each Analog:Shift vintage timepiece with a two-year mechanical warranty from the date of purchase.

All of our watches include complementary insured shipping within the 50 states.

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
