Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Ceramic Chronograph GMT

Upon its launch in 2014, Bulgari’s Octo Finissimo line changed the face of modern watchmaking.

Daring, innovative, and bold, the collection from star designer Fabrizio Bonamassa took Gérald Genta’s older ‘luxury sport watch’ concepts — as well as his more recent high-complication wristwatches for the Italian luxury behemoth — and evolved them into a single, genre-bending product family. The Octo Finissimo line took advantage of Bulgari’s then-recent move into vertically integrated watch manufacturing to craft a collection that began winning industry awards for thinness at a record pace, culminating in the world’s thinnest mechanical watch, the Octo Finissimo Ultra, in 2022. 

This particular OF, a stealthy black ceramic variant, features a 43mm sandblasted ceramic case with a sapphire crystal, a matching black ceramic bezel, and a black ceramic crown with a black inlay. Inside, it has a matte black dial with printed black indices and subsidiary registers, a matching 'skeletonized-obelisk' handset, and Bulgari's impressive Calibre BVL 318 automatic winding movement with a peripheral rotor and both chronograph and GMT functions. It comes paired to a matching integrated ceramic bracelet with a signed hidden deployant clasp.

Measuring just 6.9mm thick with a 3.3mm-thick movement, the sibling of this piece, the Octo Finissimo S, was for a time the thinnest automatic watch in the world. And while that record has since been broken by Piaget’s Altiplano Ultimate Automatic, we must say — anything from the Octo Finissimo line, may still be the thinnest practical watch in the world.

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
