Watch collecting is mostly about timepieces themselves, but surrounding these objects is a whole host of other items that are part and parcel of the same world.

Jeweler's loupes to examine said timepieces, valet trays to hold one’s “pocket litter” (to use an old bit of espionage lingo), lighters to light up that occasional Cuban cigar…we love accessories, and our offices are littered with them. However, we couldn’t possibly keep all these objects to ourselves, which is why we’re offering some of the coolest vintage finds right here, just in time for holiday gifting — whether to a loved one, or to yourself! 

Vintage presentation boxes are one of the many cool alleys to explore in the hobby. And this particular box is ranked amongst the favorites of Analog:Shift's founder: The Hamilton Odyssee 2001 box. As a cool bit of watch trivia, The Odysee 2001 was the commercial version of a timepiece made for Stanley Kubrick's classic film 2001, spelled the French way to avoid a copyright issue.

This cool box dates to the 1960s and comes as a set with inner and outer components.The outer box, in gold-tone cardboard with a pebbled green lid, features the vintage-style Hamilton wordmark, while the inner cream-colored celluloid box measuring 4 1/8" x 4 1/8" x 2 3/4" features a raised graphic 'glyph' and hinges open to reveal a watch compartment surrounded by a green turf-like surface.

Ultimately seeing use on a number of other models in the Hamilton range in period, these boxes are difficult to find in clean condition - while clean examples such as this one are the perfect way to complete a set - or as a decorative element in your vintage watch collection!

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
