Sure, Analog:Shift is a business built around the love of watches — mostly mechanical watches. But, in essence, it’s our love for timepieces and timekeeping in general that are the common themes throughout the items we procure. And that includes the love of clocks in general: pocket watches, travel clocks, and more. 

After all, in the couple-hundred years before the First World War, personal timekeeping was all about the pocket watch, and before that, it was larger clocks that were front and center, horologically. We still believe a good clock — such as a classic travel model from the 1920s or 1930s — has a place in the watch lover’s collection.

Speaking of travel clocks — check out this lovely, leather-clad purse watch from Sapho Genève. Dating to the 1940s, it consists of a 38mm sterling silver case opened by a discrete pusher near its bow. When opened, its brown alligator leather-clad exterior reveals a handsome, professionally refinished silver dial with an outer chemin de fer minute track, luminous 'Arabic' indices, a subsidiary seconds track at 6 o'clock, and a luminous 'sword' handset.

Wound and set via a prominent winding crown on its right-hand case flank, this lovely little purse watch is powered by a Swiss-made, 15-jewel movement, while its sterling silver case still features prominent maker's hallmarks denoting its quality and pedigree. Set upon a desk or shelf — or upon a nightstand in a prominent hotel somewhere on the opposite side of the world, as intended! — it's sure to bring a smile to the collector's face.

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
