Why We Love it

Moser & Cie, founded by Heinrich Moser in 19th-century Schaffhausen, Switzerland, is one of the finest fully independent Swiss watchmaking houses in the world. It’s also one of the most playful, having released a watch so black that it literally fades into nothing, and a mechanical watch shaped — quite on purpose — exactly like an Apple Watch.

The brand's Streamliner collection, with its tonneau-shaped cases, beautiful multi-link bracelets, and striking dials and complications, it emblematic of the creativity that infuses the brand. The Streamliner Rainbow, released in 2022, manages to integrate the popular rainbow-colored, gemset look of the 2020s with the Streamliner's already-compelling design elements.

Housed in a 40mm stainless steel case with with an integrated bracelet and triple-blade folding clasp with quick-release feature, it boasts a mesmerizing gem-set bezel containing a multicolored array of baguette-cut sapphires in various sizes. As if this weren't enough, beneath the watch's sapphire crystal is a grey fumé dial in a sunburst pattern with applied 'baton' indices with Globolight lume, the brand's signature Globolight handset, and a one-minute flying tourbillon with skeletonized bridges visible at 6 o'clock.

Powered by the automatic, in-house Calibre HMC 804 movement with double-hairspring, 72-hours power reserve, and an 18K red gold oscillating weight, this tremendously beautiful piece of haute horlogerie is accompanied by its factory goodies including its inner and outer boxes, loupe, warranty card, and more.

Designed for the discerning collector who appreciates both superior watchmaking as well as eye-catching aesthetics, the H. Moser & Cie Streamliner Tourbillon Rainbow is a breed apart. Once you've tried on and appreciated its avant-garde silhouette firsthand, we're quite sure you'll agree with our assessment.

Brand Story

+
Founded by Heinrich Moser in Schaffhausen in 1828, H. Moser & Cie. quickly established itself as a powerhouse, employing several hundred artisans and churning out hundreds of thousands of watches — from simple, time-only pieces to grand complications. Heinrich invested heavily in his hometown (which subsequently became the seat of the International Watch Company), going so far as to build the first Swiss dam featuring hydro-electric turbines.

Today, the firm is equally famous for its playful designs — think: a high-end, mechanical watch shaped very purposefully like an Apple Watch, or a calendar watch whose directions are literally printed on the dial — and its wildly beautiful timepieces with sumptuous cases in precious metals or advanced materials.

From historically influenced heritage models to wildly futuristic designs outfitted with complications such as flying hours, minute repeaters, and perpetual calendars, Moser’s modern watches are some of the most sophisticated, creative and inspired timepieces in production today.
