Well, for starters, they’re practical! The 740 Turbo also crosses paths with the legendary salad dressing magnate, Paul Newman, who is also occasionally referenced in the watch community as a man of some influence. Paul famously owned a few 740 Turbos, completely overhauling one mechanically, throwing in a turbocharged 3.8 liter V6 from a Buick Grand National.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\" data-mce-style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eThat said, the factory setting for the Volvo 740 Turbo already put it a level or two above any other wagon on the market at the time. This ad here exemplifies the utility-nature of the 740, implying the hidden sportiness of the car by having the unmistakable silhouette of a Lamborghini Countach in the foreground … towing a trailer.
