The Chronoscope, released in 2021, combines the Speedy case profile with 1930s and ‘40s aesthetics in the form of multiple timing scales in a ‘snail’ pattern, plus a classic set of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003efeuille\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003e hands. The result is a watch that somehow incorporates characteristics from five-plus decades of watch design without looking like an overwrought amalgam of disparate influences.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eThis example is housed in a 43mm ‘twisted lug’ stainless steel case with a Hesalite crystal, a signed crown, dual ‘barrel’ pushers, and a blue aluminum tachymeter bezel. It features a beautiful, satin silver milled ‘snail’ dial with applied, blued-steel ‘Arabic’ indices, a matching \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003efeuille\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003e handset, and three distinct timing scales — tachymeter, pulsometer, and telemeter. (More points to you if you can calculate speed, distance, and someone’s pulse simultaneously!) \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eTake a close look at the dual-register chronograph layout and you’ll realize that the 3:00 totalizer is actually two in one — it features both 12-hour and 60-minute recorders, while the 9:00 totalizer is a running seconds counter.
