Sure, Analog:Shift is a business built around the love of watches — mostly mechanical watches. But, in essence, it’s our love for timepieces and timekeeping in general that are the common themes throughout the items we procure. And that includes the love of clocks in general: pocket watches, travel clocks, and more.
After all, in the couple hundred years before the First World War, personal timekeeping was all about the pocket watch, and before that, it was larger clocks that were front and center, horologically. We still believe a good clock — such as a classic travel model from the 1920s or 1930s — has a place in the watch lover’s collection.
This particular timepiece is a magnificent 8-day desk clock from La Grand Maison itself, Jaeger-LeCoultre. Dating to the 1940s, it’s housed in a 5.7” x 7.48” x 1.37” glass, wood, and chrome case with a chrome winding key and a chrome winding crown. It features a fabulous, transparent glass dial with bronze quadrant and ‘bar’ indices, plus a wildly cool, stylized Art Deco ‘dauphine’ handset.
Powering this beauty is a Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 222 8-day, hand-wound movement. With its artful mix of glass, wood, and chrome, plus its conservative footprint, this clock will look perfect while perched on the desk or mantle of someone who appreciates well made objets d’art. That it’s a fully functional mechanical clock is merely a bonus!
Analog:Shift stands behind the authenticity of our products in perpetuity.
Since our pieces are vintage or pre-owned, please expect wear & patina from usage and age. Please read each item description and examine all product images.
We back each Analog:Shift vintage timepiece with a one-year mechanical warranty from the date of purchase.
